Kieler Nachrichten, a regional newspaper with head office in Kiel, Germany, and four local bureaus in the Schleswig-Holstein area has introduced CCI NewsGate to prepare for the integration of the print and online operations in a common collaborative environment.

Kieler Nachrichten has adopted an editorial strategy of publishing exclusive news items online first and updating them continuously, and NewsGate is introduced to simplify the workflow. NewsGate will also constitute the platform for further development of publishing strategies.
