The Hindu
The Kasturi & Son’s Ltd owned newspaper, The Hindu, and its sister papers have recently introduced CCI NewsGate as a part of their online strategy. As a first mover on the internet back in 1995, The Hindu is strengthening its position on the internet as one of India’s main internet sites.
Merging online with print is a challenging task that will be handled by the CCI NewsGate system with both Print and Digital Publishing modules. This will allow The Hindu to move to an “online first” production of content for later re-use in other publishing channels.
The Hindu is a leading English language Indian daily newspaper with at circulation of 1.45 million and the third most-widely read English newspaper in India with a readership of 5.2 million (IRS 2008). It has its largest base of circulation in South India. Based in Chennai, The Hindu is published from 13 different locations across India.
