The role as Head of Global Support and Operations

As the Head of Global Support & Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational priorities and ensure long term stability and success for a growing number of customers hosted in our AWS cloud infrastructure. You will be in the lead of an international competence pool of DevOps and Operations staff, including assistance to Development, Support and Professional Services whenever needed.

With reference to the CTO, you will receive reporting from around 10 employees in the offices in Aarhus, Dhaka and Oslo. 

Quality is ensured by means of frequent post-mortem review meetings for root cause analysis as well as process management meetings. You will continuously review the quality of the CCI support practices by overseeing established processes and assess the output and effectiveness of incident management and response. Assessment and analysis of AWS cost structures are essential to create a more efficient use of our cloud services.

A key factor to success, in this position, is to establish and maintain frequent dialog with product owners, system architects and managers to develop and continuously improve operational services, as well as ensuring processes and procedures remain aligned. To have a keen eye on operational activities related to cloud services and automating these to ensure cost effectiveness is critical in order to gain satisfactory results as Head of Global Support and Operations.


Responsibilities include:

  • Proactively identifying and leading the development and improvement of services and processes – set the direction
  • Mentor, train and inspire team members to maintain a healthy and high-performance team environment
  • Provide input and participate in negotiating rates, maintaining SLAs and pricing of services
  • P&L responsibility
  • Conduct daily status meetings with the Operations & DevOps teams
  • Conduct incident post-mortems and follow-ups
  • Occasional participation in customer meetings concerning questions about the operation of the solution


Your qualifications & experience
You are a team player with the ability to manage and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment, and you have:

  • 2-4 years of experience managing an Operations and DevOps Department
  • 2-4 years of experience in software development management and/or software project management
  • A relevant education within the field of IT, maybe you have a M.Sc. in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent.
