Adresseavisen in Norway to install CCI NewsGate
24-hour news provider selects NewsGate for web, print, radio and TV
June 23, 2008
CCI Europe announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Adresseavisen, a leading provider of news and advertising in Mid-Norway, to install a CCI NewsGate system in 2008. Adresseavisen's NewsGate system will supersede its current CCI NewsDesk System, used since 1998. The new NewsGate system will have 120 concurrent users.
"We have had a thorough look at different cross media editorial systems, and found NewsGate to be ahead of the competition with respect to efficiency and convergence between the different media," said Asle Vestvik, CIO, Adresseavisen. "We have had the current CCI editorial system for 10 years and we are happy to find that CCI is still the leading vendor. We are convinced that the NewsGate system will serve us well in the rapidly changing media landscape in the coming years."
The NewsGate system will be installed with two-way integration to Adresseavisen's existing Escenic web publishing system, and its AP/ENPS system for television and radio. In April 2008 Adresseavisen expanded its Digital TV broadcasting to 6.5 hours every evening. Adresseavisen will also become a 24-hour news provider. Adresseavisen is a leader in re-using content between the Internet, printed product, television and radio; NewsGate will facilitate content collaboration across Adresseavisen's media products.
"We are proud that Adresseavisen chose CCI as the supplier for their next generation editorial system," said Dan Korsgaard, CEO of CCI. "Adresseavisen is a very progressive and inspiring partner."
