CCI NewsGate
Overview - To survive the chaos and encourage collaboration

With CCI NewsGate’s assignment, planning and budgeting tools users can maintain a constant overview when finding, covering, planning, filing, editing, packaging, publishing and broadcasting their news.
Editorial staff has a real-time overview of research, assignment, story, planning and publication information, allowing everyone to follow what’s happening both within, and across, newsrooms.
From one screen, users are given a complete overview of all facets of the system. Tips, ideas, events, stories and projects can be recorded, planned, scanned, tracked and promoted at individual, desk, newsroom and cross-newsroom levels.
CCI NewsGate enables newsrooms to co-ordinate resources, as users can see which staff is available and where. Assignments can be dispatched to staff whether they’re online in CCI NewsGate or out in the field receiving them on a mobile phone or PDA. Editors can assign individuals and teams, including virtual teams based in different newsrooms or at different geographical locations.
Journalists can quickly find out if someone else is working on the same or a similar story. CCI NewsGate will even alert users automatically if a similar story is found at any time.
Lists of events, stories and budgets for all publications and media let editorial staff dynamically plan, update and track what’s running, where and when, with real-time access to plans for a given page, section, supplement, newspaper, Web site, service or news broadcast.
The improved overview with CCI NewsGate helps to avoid redundant work, leading to better and more timely coverage not just in print, but also on television and online.
